Safeguarding Officer – The role will be the prime point of contact for child and
adult protection issues in accordance with the BSCRA Protection policy. The Safeguarding
Officer must be formally recognised by the Motorsport UK (The Royal Automobile Club
Motor Sports Association Limited) and help will be provided to achieve recognition.
The
Safeguarding Officer is a voting member of the BSCRA Council
National Events Development Officer – The role is responsible for defining a standard
process for the organisation and management of all flagship national BSCRA meetings
that nominated organisers can follow. The organisation will consider the meeting
from end to end and include timescales and activities for -
National Events Race Controllers – BSCRA is establishing a small list (5 or 6 named individuals) of people that can be asked to act as Race Controller for its flagship events. It would help for applicants to have a good knowledge of BSCRA racing rules, formats and to have experience of Race Control ideally with the LapMaster race system but training will be provided. This role is ideally performed by a person who is not racing in the event. Any requests for an event will be made that recognise individuals racing preferences.
All roles are voluntary.
